Checking in jurors

Three methods are available for checking in jurors. Depending on how juror traffic is managed, one or more of these methods may be utilized. Each method is designed to efficiently check in a juror and record their attendance for the day.

Checking in jurors using a handheld scanner

Select "Barcode Reader" from the drop-down menu. Your web browser will then be ready to capture input from your handheld scanner. Once the barcode is successfully scanned, a dialog will appear, displaying details for that juror. Review and adjust the details as necessary, then click the "Check-In" button.

Note: Your administrator may have disabled the confirmation dialog. In this case, each time a juror is scanned, they will be checked in automatically using the system defaults, without displaying a dialog.

Checking in jurors by manually entering the barcode id

Choose "Enter Barcode" from the drop-down menu. The process and options mirror those of using the barcode reader; the sole distinction is that instead of scanning, you'll manually type in the barcode ID.

Checking in jurors using the Bulk Check-in feature

The Bulk Check-In feature, accessible from the Actions menu, provides users with a convenient method to promptly view and check in any jurors who have not yet been checked in. Users can select one or more jurors, who will then be checked in using the system defaults.
